Gift of Sight Project

Dear Readers, 

This 'Gift Of Sight' project, in conjunction with World Sight Day, is carried out in collaboration with KL Eye Specialist Centre in Kepong.  CIMB Foundation through Lions Club KL Bukit Kiara, will be sponsoring 50 cataract operations for the poor & needy - 'A Gift Of Sight to the Poor and Needy'.  They are extending this 'Gift Of Sight' program to the residents (with cataract problems) under the Ti Ratana Community & Welfare Centres.

We are to identify the needy & poor who need cataract operations and organise for them to be sent to the KL Eye Specialist Centre in Kepong for their pre-surgery checkups, surgery and post-surgery checkups at their designated dates fixed by the Eye Specialist Centre.  Perhaps you can also, through your channels, source about 10-15 prospective deserving patients (Malaysians)

In conjunction with this, The Lions Club will be having an event and hope that representatives from our Centre can attend together with the beneficiaries who are selected for the free cataract operations:-

If you know of any needy persons (contacts for Old Folks Homes, Care Giving Homes, Under-Privileged Homes etc. will also be valuable.) that needs a cataract operation, please contact Jeffrey Cheah (jeffmachoman@gmail.com), volunteer of the Tri-Ratana Gift of Sight Project. Alternatively, you can also contact me by email and I will email you back a form to complete, after which, the form is to be submitted to Lions Club of KL Bukit Kiara for evaluation.
