When Bear Is On A Roll

Yesterday evening, my kidney tumor was misbehaving badly. It was giving me regular periodic dull pain, I find sleeping difficult because whichever way I turn, the tumor pain would come at regular intervals. I found that by gently massaging with my thumb on an area on my back directly behind the tumor would ease some pain.

Yesterday, it appears that my whole body seems to be in pain. Even when sitting or standing I am not spared the pain. I don't like pain killers, so I do not take any (actually, I don't have any pain killers other than Paracetamol). I think I will request for some painkillers when I next meet my doctor so that for days like yesterday night, I may want to use it. This is also the first time in 23 months I experience that much pain.

I could not sleep, so I thought I may as well write this post. I plan to go for acupuncture later this morning because I think it's helping my legs. My left leg feels a little painful. The coughs are also getting bad at nights. I am sitting at an angle on the sofa with a cushion on my thighs and my head resting on it. That way, it's less painful. I will retire to bed in a little while, hopefully I can fall asleep.

Mohd Shafiq Update
It's is with sadness that I would like to inform that Shafiq has passed on. May he rest in peace.

On Saturday evening, he woke up from his coma. A group of friends and family members celebrated his birthday yesterday and he was very lucid though a little weak. He fed himself spaghetti and self assembled a Power Ranger toy.

This morning, he asked his father who has been very distant throughout his cancer journey whether he loved him. His father answered yes. Shafiq then closed his eyes and passed on. He was such a wonderful and well behaved boy, even when in pain. He will be missed by his friends and loved ones.

  4. Hi CT Chang,

My name is Anthony Chia of high.expressions (blog). Lanie wrote to me some days ago, concerning your blog. I have been following Liz Mah's blog, almost from the beginning. Because you also left comments there sometimes, I noted you as well, as I have said to Lanie. But I have NOT read any of your entries until Lanie's asking if I have been leaving comments on your blog under anonymity.

I have wondered for some days since Lanie's dropping of a comment on my blog, if I should start a link with you. You see, I do what I do, praying for the sick, and follow through with some of the sick NOT because that is my hobby, meaning it is a NOT a thing I naturally like to do, but I do them, because of my understanding of my Lord. Yes, I am a Christian of many years.

Though I share my God's desire that all men be saved (to get to Heaven), I cannot impose upon anyone who do NOT wish to learn more about the salvation plan of God. Apart from Liz Mah, there is another cancer stricken individual I am following. I understand that you are not a Christian, although there are more than several Christians leaving comments on your blog and I trust that they are also praying for you.

I can be NO help to you, unless you visit or revisit the issue of the Christian God. I have NO powers to heal people, only God has. I can offer you NO medical advice, or much practicality, as by now, you are more well-versed in such, than me. I can only attend to any queries that you may have concerning the Christian God, and that is if you want to visit or revisit the Christian faith.

May I suggest you, if you are interested and up to it, you can hop over to my blog site, and read some of the articles there, under the various captions, at your leisure and pace. The link is this: http://high-expressions.blogspot.com/

If you are interested to ask questions concerning the faith, I would be most happy to answer them. You can get hold of my email address at the end of any of the blog article.

Let me say a prayer for you in writing:

Father God in Heaven, thou art loving.
In that love, may you cast your eyes on CT Chang.
May you still care for him, even as you have cared for Adam,
Even though, Adam was destined to die, after the Fall.
As your other children intercede for him,
May you extend your grace and mercy to him.
Lord, I desire that you may NOT relent in your drawing him to you.
Lord, may you come to his aid supernaturally.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

  10. Dear Anonymous,

Just as you have shared various quotations that are well and meaningful for which I thank you very much, but I would also like you to reflect on your actions.

If you do believe in what you shared, then check your own ego to show off because your actions have become one of spamming and not sharing.

  12. @ Anthony Chia,

Thanks for introducing yourself and clearing your name-- and making it clear that you are not the spammer that CT chang is referring to.

Now, it seems God is revealing to us the true nature of this spammer- he is a fake! not a Christian at all. Thanks again Anthony for clearing your name.

    Dear CT Chang,
I would like to say AMEN and echo this prayer for you:

Father God in Heaven, thou art loving.
In that love, may you cast your eyes on CT Chang.

  14. Dear Lanie,

I believe the spammer posted 18 anonymous comments today (and I don't think he/she is a Christian) because he/she posted various Buddhist teachings and also some other quotations exhorting good values. There could be more than one reader involved but I can tell from the time stamp of the post, it should be from the same person. Furthermore the theme of the comments are about the same subject matter.

Despite appealing to him/her not to do it, it was immediately followed by another two comments. I can accept a few comments but to simply copy and paste so many from elsewhere and dump it here is distasteful.

This is the first time I am censoring.

  15. Dear CT,

Please censor these type of spammers. You dont deserve or no one deserves this type of disrespect.

Praying that you have a good night's rest.

    regards,
    Lanie

  16. Chang,

Don't waste time censoring...just remove the anonymous option. Time can be better spent elsewhere more constructively.
